School Closure
If it is necessary to close the School due to bad weather conditions, the School will take the following course of action:
- School will inform Free Radio (96.5 FM), Heart FM (100.7 FM) and BBC WM (95.6 FM) radio stations. The station will read out school closures and also display the closure on their website.
- School will send a text message to families of all of our children. This text will be sent to the telephone that you usually receive texts to. Please inform the school office if you change your number or have not been receiving School texts.
- School will place a message on the front page of school's website and twitter (@BarfordPrimary).
The School will be OPEN unless you are informed otherwise.
Remote Learning
In the event of a school closure we are committed to continuing our children's learning through the use of our Virtual Learning Environment - DB Primary. In line with our Remote Learning Policy children will be expected to access 'live' sessions with their teacher and engage in a structured programme of learning using DB Primary. We have a video guide and information Powerpoint to help parents in supporting their children to continue their learning whilst away from school.
