Welcome to Barford Primary School, where we truly believe,

Happy Hearts, healthy minds, exhilarating experiences – inspires success!

Our children and the community we serve, are at the heart of all we do. We are a diverse and inclusive primary school, with a lot to be proud of.

As soon as you walk through the door you will feel the warmth, enthusiasm and positivity in all we do. Our classrooms are vibrant, energetic places full of learning where we work to create a classroom ethos that allows children to develop resilience through taking control of their learning and develop positive strategies to turn challenges into triumphs. Children enjoy every minute of their learning and teachers know that every learning minute makes a difference in the life of each and every child. Each child is valued as an individual and teachers tailor goals to ensure that all children make good progress and feel successful regardless of their starting points.

We have a strong community feel and like to think of ourselves as a wider Barford Family. We value the relationship we have with parents and work alongside them as co-educators to support our children's learning. We also pride ourselves provision of wider enrichment opportunities: all our child will have an opportunity to play a musical instrument, take part in outdoor activities with our Roots to Fruits Programme and experience a range of sporting activities. Strong links with the local community enable us to foster strong links with local secondary schools and organisations such as King Edwards School in Edgbaston and the Civic Square Community at Port Loop. All the links embellish the learning opportunities that we can offer our children and enable them to access experiences that they may not have the chance to engage in.

I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of such an inspirational school and I am committed to continue to ensure the school goes from strength to strength in both academic achievements and in ensuring we are developing well rounded citizens ready for the next stage of their school life.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the school - we are always happy to help.

At Barford Primary School, we believe in ourselves.

We want everyone to be included and we are always kind and welcoming.

Through lots of different exciting educational activities, experiences, visitors and trips, we gain lots of knowledge and skills.

We work and learn as a team (children, adults and our community) to make sure we are successful and we help create bright futures for ourselves.

We work with our trusted adults, each other and our community to keep everyone safe and successful.
