The School Day
In Summer 2022, the government’s white paper laid out plans for mainstream state-funded schools to provide a 32 and a half hour week ( 6 and a half hours per day) for children from statutory school age. Our school day at Barford now reflects this change from Reception to Year 6.
Nursery
Nursery gates open at 8:45am and registers are taken at 8:55am. The nursery day finishes at 3pm. Nursery is open Monday to Wednesday.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Gates for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 open at 8:30am and registers are taken at 8:40am. The school day finishes at 3:10pm.
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6
Gates for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 open at 8:30am and regsiters are taken at 8:40am. The school day ends at 3:20pm.
