Lunch & After School Enrichment

Lunch and After-School Clubs at Barford Primary School

At Barford Primary School, we believe learning and personal growth happen throughout the day—not just in the classroom. Our exciting range of lunch-time and after-school clubs gives children opportunities to discover new interests, develop talents, build confidence and have fun with friends.

From sport and teamwork to creativity, leadership and personal development, our clubs help children grow physically, socially and emotionally while developing valuable life skills. We are committed to ensuring every child has the chance to take part in enriching activities and continually shape our provision through pupil and parent feedback.

Whether joining a club at lunchtime or after school, children benefit from staying active, making new friendships, building resilience and learning the value of working towards shared goals. These experiences encourage healthy lifestyles, nurture positive wellbeing and help children develop the confidence to embrace new challenges.

There’s something for everyone at Barford—come and discover your passion, make lasting memories and achieve your full potential!

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Barford Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all children can benefit from the rich range of opportunities available through our lunch-time and after-school clubs. To help broaden experiences and enhance cultural capital, we actively encourage and support our disadvantaged pupils, including those eligible for Pupil Premium funding, to participate in as many extra-curricular activities as possible.

We believe every child should have the opportunity to discover new interests, develop talents and build confidence. Our aim is for all pupils to take part in at least one club each year, alongside a wide variety of wider learning experiences. We regularly monitor participation data and listen to pupil and parent feedback to ensure our provision is inclusive, engaging and meets the needs of all children.

Celebrating Success

At Barford Primary School, we love celebrating the achievements of our children both inside and outside the classroom. Our lunch-time and after-school clubs provide opportunities for pupils to develop important skills such as teamwork, resilience, leadership, creativity and determination.

We are proud of the effort, commitment and enthusiasm shown by our pupils and take every opportunity to recognise and celebrate their successes. Whether learning a new skill, representing the school, performing, competing or simply trying something new, every achievement is valued and celebrated as part of our commitment to helping children thrive and reach their full potential.
